Makes Me Smile Monday

For Ava’s 4th birthday, we celebrated at the lake.  Ava was a water bug, and got out of the water only to eat lunch, eat birthday cake, and open presents.  I did, however get a good picture of Marc and me. :)

Makes Me Smile Monday

Today, I’m smiling because I celebrated 6 years of marriage yesterday.  Ideally, I would upload a photo from our wedding day, but they’re on my external hard drive, and I’m feeling lazy tonight.  So, instead, you can go here to see what I wrote on our 4th anniversary, or here for our 3rd anniversary.

So, here’s to 6 wonderful, blessed years of marriage, and here’s to many, many more!

Makes Me Smile Monday

What’s making me smile today?  Oh, just the fact that I’ll be on vacation starting Wednesday with Marc AND the pups!  Looking forward to a few days in Beaufort with my favorites. :)  Ready for sunsets and sunrises and time with Marc celebrating our 6th anniversary! :)

Makes Me Smile Monday

This is a recent photo, but it really does make me smile.  Mainly, because Marc makes me smile.  We laugh.  A lot.  I love that about our relationship, about our marriage.  So, here’s to us, and our life, and our love. :)DSC07278

Makes Me Smile Monday

Here’s my 2nd edition of Makes Me Smile Monday.  I was going through some of my old photos, and came across this gem:10-16-2010 And it literally just makes me smile.  It reminds me of good times with great friends. (And in case you were wondering why we were dressed up, it was for a 50th birthday party for a friend’s mom.  It was my favorite costume party ever!).

Because of this party, we’ve started planning for a big 30th birthday party for a couple of us who have the milestone coming up next year. :) Cannot.Wait! :)  It’s gonna be awesome!! :)

L is for the way you look at me…

Relief =.)

My doctor appointment yesterday went really well.  And really, after I got there, all of my anxiety left.  It might have helped that I made Marc go with me! =.) So he kept me distracted.

The worse part?  I had a 3:30 appointment, and we didn’t leave until 5:00.  Yeah.  I was only with the doctors…30 minutes?  The rest was just waiting.  So annoying.

But we did get to go to dinner (with the old folks) when we left the doctor’s office.

And it was yummy.  Lemon chick with asparagus and mashed potatoes.  Loaded cheese fries as an appetizer.

And the even better part…Chocolate Bliss cake for dessert.  I can’t wait to get home tonight to sneak a few more bites…unless Marc’s already eaten it all!

But back to my appointment.  Everything appears to be okay.  Now we just have to wait and see what else is going on.  Or isn’t going on?  But I’m okay, and everything seems to be working the way it’s supposed to be working, so that’s good news.

Now, we just wait.  Which, I’m not all that good at.  I should work on that?  And patience…I need some of that, as well. =.)

Hope y’all have a great weekend!  I’ve got plans for a couples shower on Saturday evening!  Here’s to hoping it doesn’t rain! =.o

Enjoy your sunshine! =.)

3 Years...

Friday, August 14th, marked 3 years of our life with this gal:

Marc completely surprised me with this doll baby. It was Marc's birthday, and he was late getting home. I remember waiting for him to get there with his mom. And when he gets out, he has my precious Paisley with him. She was so tiny and awkward (at almost 2 months old), and just absolutely adorable. It was definitely love at first sight for me! And I'm pretty sure it was meant to be, because she had a Strawberry Shortcake bandana tied around her neck! =.) Honestly, I was not at all prepared for what a dog would do to my life. I was so stressed about it at first, because it wasn't something that we had discussed, but I can't imagine my life without her in it. She's like my little kid! She's now three years old, but she will always be my puppy!

I love my sweet girl! =.)
